Game teh Vote!
Too busy today to get into this much so this is mainly a reminder for me to blab about this if I get the time. There are very few issues where I think voting can actually make much difference but this is one of my hot spots, obviously.

My guesstimate is that your view on this subject is not going to prevail, and "violent content" is going to be "controlled" in some manner in the foreseeable future.
Either via rules, or possibly by legislative creation of class-action liability exposure.
Like it or not.
Given that prospect, I'd think you folks might want to begin emphasizing the historical angle and the realistic-military-training/planning-tool angle in whatever messages you create that describe your product.
You have an opportunity to further distinguish yourselves from the shooters with regard to whatever analysis is used by the regulators to separate bad games from OK ones...but only if you're prepared in advance.
With regard to this concern, it's good that the game isn't using blood-and-gore graphics. That graphical approach would be a regulate-me neon sign.
The historical angle is powerful because history is a protected academic subject.
The realistic-military-training/planning-tool angle is powerful, too. Senator Clinton is a major legislative proponent of violent-content regulation, but she's also a strong supporter of the military. That's potentially very important to you, IMO.
