I'm not sure really. I found them in OT and they are propaganda films. While I really don't go in much for the Nazi history in particular I grew up during the cold war and have always had a keen interest in propaganda. That and a general interest in Illuminati/occult fantasy which stems from to much Robert Antone Wilson and H.P. Lovecraft in my formative years. The art in my house is mostly old soviet propaganda posters and I tend still to read a lot of templar and masonic history and fiction.
I was led to believe that these films deal largely with Hitler's interest in the occult so I thought they might be interesting. Apparently they have been shown nationally in the past (Discovery?) and I seem to have missed them.
Hmm, I always thought that Hitler's interest in the occult was a fairy tale. Things that make great stories but not great history. The history channel is very credible. I wonder how much of this is true. I also wonder how much of this is over dramatization. IE: did Hitler have a crazy obsession with the occult or did he try everything in the world to get as much power as possible (whether or not he thinks it would work).
The History channal is fine, however not all programs where made/comissioned by them and not everything you will see on such channels is 100% historical fact.
YOu just have to keep an open mind on what you see, and occasionaly do a little research to get the other side/versions of a story.
My favorate thing on the history channels are the use of stock footage to show all kind of things.
e.g. a certain battleship sinking in the Med used to show at least 7 different ships sinking!
One thing I love about WWIIOL is it gets people into actualy recognision WWII equipment, e.g. not just classing all German tanks as a 'panzer', so that when they then see programs on the TV they recognise if what they are been shown is actualy what they are beening told about.

Some of the video protraying nazi's seems fake too.

Yep. both been on the History channel & other of that type many times.
Some OK bits, usual bits of truth, bit of roumors & a bit of guess work.
Interesting enough to be worth watching.

Actually, all German tanks *are* panzers, in German. As are all tanks of any other nationality.
Just as all tanks are chars (of one sort or another) in French.

DOH, I originaly did write in brackets after that statement that I do know that from a German perspective that all tanks ARE panzers!
Guess I should have left that bit in.
Propaganda... I worke witha CUban doctor one time...we were going on a marketing trip he said..."Do you have the propaganda?"
Think of that from time to time
