Microsoft Robotics Studio
Ok, this might be the coolest thing all week. Cooler than a Firefly MMO, check. Cooler than a Fallout MMO? Close, but, yes it is, check. MS today released their software suite for robots and in case you can't afford a $40k Pioneer robot to play with, the suite comes with a simulated bot. Best of all, you don't even have to pay for a license as long as you are just using it for personal world domination.Unreal eh? Guess i know what I'm doing this weekend...oh right, we're still grinding away hoping to release an update before the holidays that doesn't completely tank. And when I say we, I do not mean me. I am more of the release it when its ready, I don't care if it took 6 months kinda guy. Apparently not everyone learns their lessons. Good for them that technically its my ass on the line. Ok, so there's a little stress around here at present. Guess I'll play with this over the holiday break.

If you're looking for a break from the stress, how about putting back up the links to the screenshot archive, etc.? We had a noob question in the Forums as to what a tank damage model looks like. I'd do an annotated illustration of one of the tank screenies like I did for the Type 1934/34a if I could get the raw image.
Ahh yeah. Been playing with the Bloggre Beta. Seems they don't have the features I want when you host it off site. Asshats.
