If you don't know about Badge of Blood, it's a Half-Life based game being created by a few members of our community. I've talked several times with Yoda about it at various conferences and telephone calls. I'm always interested in indy projects and more than happy to offer any advice I can. Anyhoo, I got a google alert this morning about a new Badge of Blood interview on
Halflife2.net but it seems to be a dead link. maybe Yoda got slashdotted...hey! It could happen. If you have any info on the story I'd appreciate it. Gonna be a little too busy today testing live code fixes for that collision stutter bug that seems to have been plaguing us since the intro of bouncing grenades to go digging the intrawebz for info. Hopefully we'll get a couple other minor changes in as well. See ya in the Read Me...

If anybody has evidence that badge of blood is not dead, I would be very interested in it.
Hmm. guess that's an oldie that the Google crawler just re-dredged. Dong-ole-google.
Hate to hear they are dead. Perhaps we could help them finish it?
Far as I know it is not dead.
not dead.
been talking with Yoda last couple of days.
It's probably not dead but probably nor is it HL2 based anymore. Last thing I read before they took down the old front page was that they were exploring options for basing it on something else.
I have plenty of evidence that Badge of Blood is not dead, but I can't share it. :)
And as Dangerboy noted, we will not be using the Source engine. We are currently using UE2 for our tech demo and are exploring options for the first installment of the game. Source couldn't handle what we're were trying to make it do.
All I can say is that things are looking extremely good right now over here at Warpig and we're working very hard. All of the guys are busting their butts into the wee hours to make it happen day after day.
We'll be making some announcements in the not-so-distant future and we'll be sure to let everyone know when that happens.
You know, from the quality of the work they were releasing on the website, I think a future relationship for the two studios wouldn't be a horible idea.
Your writing a new engine you say? Could it perhaps be adapted to use high resolution satalite data from another planet? Would WWIIONLINE benifit from a "mod community?"
