Rat-a-tat-tat!

Reminder for me to read this a couple of times. I haven't really done any sound engineering since college and I think that now that we have 2 outstanding volunteers doing new sounds we might make a lot of progress this year. Killer is managing them so that should be a nice feature set that doesn't get crushed under my overload. My boss rocks.

There used to be a site with pictures and movies of HotChix in bikinis firing SMG, LMG and HMG somewhere... This pic reminded me of it. And STOP sukking up to Da Boss on yer blogsite! :P

A good read, but the guy doesn't know squat about compression. He's got that part all wrong & how he describes it is how you DON'T want to do it.

I've got a studio setup now and have been doing some remote recording, mostly acoustic instruments for friends & editing of some live shows I've mixed. I could do 8 tracks at a time if I have access to AC, 4 if on batteries.

Doing some weapons recording is on the list now that I'm back in Texas. They have a WWII flamethrower in Fredericksburg that they break out and fire up every couple of months, I'm gonna try to get gear to the next one. That would give killer a big chubbie!
