Scientists to Create Plant to Absorb CO2

French scientists have announced a cunning plan to create a plant that can capture CO2 emmissions and in a rare sign of European cooperation have decided to sell the French technology to the Germans, as reported by none other than Chinese news source Yahoo!

Cornered Rat Software lead physics producer "rickb" was quoted as saying, "Wow a plant that absorbs CO2! Now if they could only get it to convert it to something useful, like say oxygen."

Reporters are funny. They generally have no consistency-with-physics BS alarms at all.

In this case, they're using the word "plant" to mean "factory"...but it still begs the question of what they'll do with the carbon dioxide. Maybe turn it back into coal and crude oil? Or maybe they'll just cool and compress it, and sell it as dry ice?

We don't need more oxygen in our atmosphere.

When I see that kind of "efforts", it make me think about how the community is looking for "solutions" to issues in our game : just put a bandage on one specific wound, while it would in fact need a large psychological therapy.

I'm pretty sure that the title of that article was changed after someone realized how poorly worded it was because I distinctly remember it being "Create Plant to Capture" instead of "Capture Plant" the first time I read it.
