BEGM: Battleground Europe Game Monitor

Technically this is a cool thing of the day. Even more, for you WWIIOLers it is probably the COOLEST thing of about any day. Oli created a dbase access set and the guys have been hard at work making very cool widgets. God I wish our UI tools were this sweet.
KFS1 says: Guys who have been developing stuff with WireTap are finally starting to release their tools. Apos520 has had one out for a while, Sres has been providing the High Commanders with TOE training tools using it, SLR released a Java-based (cross-platform) one a few days ago, and Xiper has just released his open source BEGM (Battleground Europe Game Monitor)

So, ummm...not that this isn't obvious, but how impossible would it be to replace the present UI with a series of secure/exposable game-connection points for data-feeds and control-inputs, and create a default UI that hooked up to everything and performed the default job...but let players use someone else's UI if they chose, perhaps arranged per a different concept or utilizing addition info from Wiretap to provide different game insights that are useful within the UI experience?

In that context, I'm envisioning custom UIs optimized for noobs, for flyers, for naval types, for low-level and high-level HC, for realism- and shooter-types, and so forth.

I believe that the UI is created using an xml hybrid called XUL?

So essentially if CRS cut the xul out of game, gave us an API the chances are this could be done.

However it's all about time with a small group, which is a shame :(

Thanks for the mention Gophur, xipers game monitor put mine to shame in the coding stakes, but I'll be going away and reviewing his code and seeing how I can improve mine.

Jeebus that program is polished. That is one talented programmer right there.
