everyone and their uncle is covering the brief blab that Sid Meier has thoughts about doing an MMO down the road. I hope it isn't going to be Pirates (snark). I would really like to see what direction that would go in though. Colonization but in space against other planets? IN.

Always been a big fan of Sid's work, heck I still have Spitefire Ace somewhere.
It's strange that I guess a lot of us think of Microprose back in those days as Sid & Wild Bill.
How very different their reputations are these days since the end of Microprose.

Like you said, there are several of his games that might make a interesting MMO game.
A MMOG SMAC(X)?
SMAC would probably be my preference as well. Difficult as always to master the "what happens when I'm not on" game play style but there are several web MMOs that have done this (NukeZone) that could be great precedents.

Microprose was the bomb. I enjoy hearing Killer lament those bygone days.
Gophur, totally OT, but your link here to KFSOne's blog points not to his top level but to a particular 2006 post about politics. Maybe that's a glitch?
