Somehow my Google Alerts popped up this little gem and it ended up in my never ending stream of Firefox tabs. If you're into WoW this is a pretty good hoot of a blog. Not quite as funny as my favorite Chinese gold farmer Lo-Ping but a high point on the train wreck that is the community of experienced MMO players in WoW. Really, this shit reminds me of Lum before he got all respectable.

E! Land Gets a Games Conference!

As if E3 wasn't the most over blown, headache inducing, mind job in gaming now L.A. wants to get into the conference business. Yeah! Who doesn't want to hear 400 executives from E! companies talk about video games. I know I do!

Take our cameo above. He's from the William Morris agency. Sure hope he and Raf can get a rap goin'. This, my friends, is exactly why E! based interactive entertainment sucks. The inbreeding and ass-kissing of Hollywood can not make games like Guitar Hero and more than that they don't know they can't Need proof? Read the line up of speakers, 380 media executives and a handful of game guys who are probably really worth seeing. Too bad their presentations will be filled by E! heads asking "What if we put controls in the movie seat and let people interact with the movie?" Seriously. I heard that at AGC.

Speaking of which, now that Sherman has cashed out of AGC and GDC is taking the reins, I hope they have the sense to keep Hollywood in Kali where it belongs.

But I still SAY & will ALL WAYs SEE You ALL as CHEATs & THIEFs! This game will NEVER Get a GOOD REVIEW in any FORM or PAPER! Well That is in till YOU BUY ONE!

Krieger introduced me to Robert Anton Wilson many years ago through his Illuminatus! Trilogy. He's remained at the top of my favorite authors list ever since. I truly despise the Escapist. The articles are often worth reading but the layout gets a solid D-. They might as well have made it Flash. Anyhoo, Steve jackson, whom I sorely missed speaking with at ADC, spouts off a bit. He even says the magic words... yes, he'd like to do Car Wars as a video game. Have you seen my custom car chits and my 8 foot city maps? No? Well, come on down to the office. I'd be happy to hand you your ass in an Auto Duel. Auto Duel. God, I just like the sound of those words. In related news he said he'd probably do Munchkin first. Bloo and I have chatted up a KoL mixed with web based mmo sort of pitch on that one. Guess we aught to polish it up.
